Locally owned Lake State Recycling is your one-stop shop for all your recycling needs. We accept a wide range of recyclables including e-scrap, non-ferrous metals like aluminum and copper, ferrous metals like steel and iron, precious metals, car parts like batteries and rims, and even catalytic converters. Our friendly, experienced staff will help you sort through your materials, ensure they are recycled responsibly, and that you get paid a fair, competitive price. Once you arrive at our location, we’ll work with you to assess your recyclable material and identify the most efficient and profitable way to handle it. At that time, we will direct you to the proper area of our yard in order to unload and begin weighing the materials.
We calculate final prices based on the weight and grade of your metal or other recyclable material. We want our customers to feel confident they received the best possible price. That’s why we conduct a thorough weigh-in to ensure accurate assessment.
We focus on providing our customers with consistent, fair, and up-to-date pricing based on the worldwide market. We will also do our best to find a market for material that we may not regularly receive, so feel free to contact us to see how we can serve you.
Prior to coming to Lake State Recycling, you must drain all fluids such as gas and oil. You must also remove any hazardous materials such as batteries.
We do not currently offer pickup services. However, we accept drop-offs Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., no appointment necessary.
Yes, all recyclables should be separated by like items for better, more accurate pricing. All items not sorted will be paid by the lowest item.
ll recyclables are sorted and packaged to be sent out for further end-of-life recycling. Our partners work hard to ensure effective, responsible recycling.
We accept a variety of household scrap metals like copper, brass, aluminum, and lead. Other accepted materials include cardboard, tin cans, appliances, and household electronics.
