E-Scrap Recycling
Electronics, or e-scrap recycling, can feel stressful and daunting when you consider environmental and privacy concerns. Trust the experts and Lake State Recycling to keep you compliant and eco-friendly, all at a competitive price. We have Sustainable Electronics Reuse & Recycling (R2) v3 Standard certification, meaning we adhere to guidelines for safe and sustainable e-waste recycling. We handle everything from secure data sanitization to dismantling, ensuring your electronics are recycled responsibly following the industry's strictest standards.
Recycle right, reuse more! We prioritize refurbishing electronics. Salvageable electronics get securely sanitized, refurbished, and resold. They get a second life, reducing e-waste and extending lifespans.
For equipment that can't be refurbished and resold, we break them down so their functional components can be repurposed. This thoroughly secure and compliant process includes data sanitization to ensure privacy and safety.
Can't reuse or recover? Electronics beyond repair are securely sanitized, dismantled, and responsibly recycled. Valuable materials like metals and plastics are extracted for new products, minimizing waste and helping create a greener future.
At Lake State Recycling, we understand the importance of protecting your privacy. That's why we prioritize data security throughout our entire e-scrap recycling process. By choosing LSR, you can be confident that your electronics are recycled responsibly and securely, with your data completely protected. We are committed to providing a safe and eco-friendly e-waste disposal solution you can trust.
Here's how we ensure your information stays safe:
Electronic scrap could include but is not limited to computers, TVs, VCRs, small household appliances, gaming consoles, printers, phones, laptops, and cell phones. Most everything would have a cord or battery operated.
Be sure to remove all batteries before coming to our facility.
We only offer pickup services for commercial customers. Residents can drop off Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., no appointment necessary.
All recyclables are sorted and packaged to be sent out for further end-of-life recycling. Our partners work hard to ensure effective, responsible recycling.
Most E-scrap recycling will fall under the .35¢ pound. Call ahead for more information.
LSR follows strict data protection policies. All data-containing devices will go directly to a secure locked location to wait for recycling. Once processed, all hard drives are shredded. We also offer a certificate of recycling for any data-containing devices if requested. All data-containing devices, shredded hard drives, etc. are held in a locked storage area until shipped for further end-of-life processing. See our data security policy statement for more information.
